Hydropower Plant –
Energy from Nature

Vialit Relies on Eco-Friendly Hydropower

Since 2016, Vialit has operated its own small hydropower plant at the Dietfurter Schwelle on the Mattig River. This plant generates eco-friendly electricity, which is directly used for producing our road surfaces. With a Kaplan turbine providing up to 139 kW of power, the hydropower plant significantly contributes to sustainable energy production.

Solar Energy – Harnessing the Sun for Sustainable Production

Photovoltaic Systems Deliver Eco-Friendly Electricity

Complementing our hydropower plant, we have installed photovoltaic systems on our company roofs to harness solar energy. These systems, with a total area of 1,650 m², deliver an annual nominal output of nearly 300,000 kWh and contribute to self-sufficiency in our production.

With the combination of hydropower and solar energy, we cover more than half of our energy needs from our own renewable sources. This is our contribution to a cleaner environment.
